A Little About Who God Made Me to Be

I have been a follower of Christ since the ripe old age of 7, and praise God everyday for parents that took me to church and pastors that invested in my life. I have been serving in ministry since 1999. In 2006 I graduated from Northwestern College, Orange City, Iowa with a degree in Christian Education. I met my wife there and now reside in Iowa; I do miss the mountains of my native southwest. I enjoy the great outdoors (hunting, fishing, camping and hiking); I am always amazed by the works of God’s hand. I am an avid reader (most recent finished ministry related book I Once Was Lost, recently started Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus – I recommend both). Favorite authors and teachers include but are not limited to – C.S. Lewis, Dr. R.C. Sproul, Henri Nouwen, Philip Yancey, and John Piper.

Why I Am Leading a Called to Youth Ministry Group
I have found my joy in serving Christ and my heart is bent towards youth ministry. As someone who has been involved in strong successful ministries and church plants I know I have learned some great lessons. I hope to impart some of these lessons but I also look forward to learning from those that are in ministry as well. I look forward to meeting those of you in my group and pray that our time together will be fruitful for the kingdom and helpful in equipping us to better lead in our ministry.

Grace and peace,

Richard Moore
