Be Refreshed before Starting Again

Where do you go to find refreshment?

Right now, I'm sitting in Starbucks, looking out the window watching dogs and families out on walks, sipping a coffee. Sure, it's relaxing. But it's not (deeply) refreshing.

Each of us are about to start a new year of ministry. We're making plans that will, Lord willing, have a deep impact on students' lives.

But many of us are making those plans while still feeling weary, tired, and worn out from LAST year's ministry.

The team at Called to Youth Ministry chose the Refresh theme because each of us should -- needs to -- must find refreshment in the Lord before diving into another crazy-busy season of ministry.

As new online training groups for youth pastors kick off this fall, we will be talking a lot more about finding renewal in our own walk with Christ, so each of us can minister to our students out of an overflowing heart, all year long.

Our prayer is that we can all be refreshed before this new year of ministry.
