Student Leadership

"This Is Me..."

Recently several students from the Lancaster, PA area got together to plan and organize a fundraising event. The spent weeks, days and hours gathering and sorting items for a yard sale.

It wasn’t to raise money for their youth group or any trip they are going on this summer.

No, as a matter fact not one penny they raised at this event that took place this past weekend will NOT be spent on them, their youth group or church.

Team Building Tips From Uzziah

Uzziah: King and Team Leader

Here are 5 leadership team tips we can learn from him.

Living The Dream

I've always wanted to be a youth pastor and minster to teens at all levels. They, along with camp counselors, have been my heroes. I have been doing it now for 20 years and started a free resource sight called The Disciple Project at www.thediscipleproject.net

Let Me Re-Introduce Myself

We recently had a new member or prospective new member luncheon. Each of the staff had a minute or two to introduce themselves and share what they did at the church. I thought I made a good pitch but our Pastor made an interesting observation about all our introductions.

Developing Student Leaders

When I came to the church that I currently serve at nearly three years ago, I was convinced that developing students leaders is a huge part of influencing people within student ministry. And it's so true. There was a lady at our church who has developed some curriculum that she has called "Servant Team" in which she has put together a four year plan that allows for a Youth Leader to simply follow some different grids to develop leaders through knowledge, experience, and team building. It's a great curriculum and very adaptable for anyone to use.
