Hearing God's Voice

Discerning God's voice is not something that can be calculated or mastered like an algebra formula or foreign language.

But one thing that is clear throughout scripture is that God does speak, and that when we as believers seek to hear His voice and submit to His will, we can come to better hear from Him. That doesn't mean we always get it right, though ;)

Below are a number of examples from scripture when God guided His people.

Luke Writes One of the Gospels - Luke 1:1-4
(Luke wrote his gospel, in part, because it "seemed good." Turns out he was fulfilling one of the greatest purposes of his life! "Seemed good" is also used a number of times in this passage: Acts 15:22-28.)

The Vine and the Branches - John 15:1-17

Proverbs 3:5-6
New International Version: Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
