Letter to Yourself

You’re a student, you’re facing the pressures of school, home, friends and dating. Some of you are struggling, wrestling with parents fighting, divorce, temptation from friends, feelings of failure, self-image issues, and the list goes on. And the midst of all this you’re even stressing about where to go to college or what to do with you life. You’re not sure about your future and what it would look like in terms of success as the world sees it. Some days you don’t even want to think about what’s ahead.

But…what about your past? For a lot of students and even adults we wish we could go back and change some things, have a redo. In the following video Zach Smith shares a letter he wrote to himself, but to his 17 year old self. Watch the video and then think about your life so far. If you were to write a letter to your younger self what would you say? What advise would you give yourself? What desperate message would you share regarding your relationship with Jesus? How would you convey God’s love and forgiveness to your past self before you knew Jesus? How would you desperately communicate the message of the gospel to yourself? And finally, how would this simple letter writing challenge motivate you to be passionate about sharing your faith with others and living THE Cause?
