Two Things To Do On My To Do List
I've got two things on my to do list that are very hard for me to get started and that's why I'm writing this, because maybe someone out there can motivate me. But this is what I got.
1. Work On My Weekly Schedule. I haven't been the best with managing my time, I'm a disorganized person (just look at my office), but by having a schedule I know what I have to look forward to each day, what needs to be accomplished and it allows me to create the margin I will need to take care of any "out of the ordinary" incidences. But I don't want to work on my weekly schedule because it's one of those things I feel as if I never will get done, which is true, because a schedule is something that needs to be regularly adjusted.
2. Map Out The Student Ministry. I have a system and structure for how things work, who reports to who, etc. but the landscape of the student ministry has changed recently and there are a few holes to fill. But if I don't figure out who I need to lead and who needs to lead who we might as well just be a group of lost sheep. I have most of the map on my whiteboard, I just need to put it down onto my computer.
Evil likes chaos, to be good we need to be disciplined, right now I'm fighting the temptation to procrastinate, but in discipline there is freedom and the ability to learn and do more. I know this is going to be hard, but as this gets done I'll feel more free and more ahead of the game. Plus as it says in Proverbs 12:1 "Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid." And I don't want to be stupid.
