When Teens Are Called To Save Their Friends

Evangelism in a Student ministry can have many effects...it is really a win/win situation.

Are You Building a Kingdom Dream Team?

The dream of the students this summer was that they would have a non-apathetic summer. They are not interested in mundane church programs and sitting around all day in the Florida sun, but a ministry that never stops even on summer break! They believe because Jesus’love and pursuit of His people never stops—why should youth ministry stop this summer?

H.O.P.E.

Does (real discipleship) mean that when (a student) starts getting serious with that girl or guy that you need to tell some embarrassing stories about yourself? Yeah, it does. Does it mean that if you promise to be at their game on Saturday morning that you be there? Yeah, it does. Real discipleship is hard stuff.  Before you take it on....check this out....

Get Real About Your Mission: No Place to Lay Your Head...

The only real way to live out the Christian faith is to live it radically and passionately with a mission!  What a waste if it’s not!  God wants us to live with passion for Him and His purposes on the earth.  His main Cause or purpose was for His followers to bring about world-wide life transformation by expanding His Kingdom on the earth by making disciples who make disciples (Matt 28:18-20).

Evolution: The Devil’s Sneak Attack

I can see why some people believe in the theory of evolution. I’m sure it sounds like a semi-plausible explanation to people who have been taught to think that way. Some of us, however, believe that there is a Creator who is all-powerful and all-loving. Give me God over primordial soup any day.

Beyond the 1 Month Challenge

The A.O.G. has launched a project to encourage students to carry their Bible everywhere they go all the time for one month. And while this challenge can be done anytime of the year, they have launched it for the month of September to coincide with the beginning of the new school year and SYATP (See You At The Pole). Great idea!

Rebel for THE Cause

“I’m in rebellion with Jesus against anything and everything this world tries to throw at me. I will not allow the world to dictate how I look, dress, or eat. I’m an original masterpiece created by my Heavenly Daddy. And it’s time to change the rules.”

Do Apologetics Help?

Remember when you were a kid and your parents said utterly ridiculous things like, “eat your vegetables and you’ll grow up big and strong.” My parents used all kinds of methods to get me to eat vegetables. They new how important it was that I learn to eat in a healthy manner. Some of those methods worked, but most of them didn’t.

I’m not a vegetable fan (unless you count potatoes), but over the years I have figured out how to eat them.

Risking Friends for Jesus

The following article was written by Katelyn, a student living and sharing her faith in her mid-west school.

I know a lot of teenagers, including myself, really do not like putting our relationships with friends, family members, boyfriends/girlfriends at risk. According to a teen, relationships seem to be what means most to them.

I love my relationships, but I love my friends and all those other people too much to let them go to hell without being prayed for and hearing about Jesus.
