Lifting Up My Hands

…Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword. –Exodus 17:10-13

The Power of Prayer

Everyone says it.  Sometimes I get weary of hearing it.  Prayer is that one thing we should all do a lot of and most of us, maybe all of us, don’t do enough.  There have probably been millions of blogs and articles written about prayer, so why write another one?  Because I think, I hope, this story will cause you to begin to believe in prayer to the point where you will pray.

Scripture: The Power of Prayer

Matthew 18:19 "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven."
