Vision: Ending Up Somewhere on Purpose

As a personal exercise I have pulled out some God-given principles pertaining to fulfilling God’s God-given vision as a church and personally. These come from a study of Nehemiah, one of God’s great visionary leaders.

I learned them from various sources and teachers Bruce Wilkinson and Andy Stanley are two for sure. Thought I’d pass them on.

Helping Students Find Happiness

What is happiness? Before you read any further take a moment and try to define happiness. 

Tomorrow I am going skiing at one of my favorite resorts in Colorado. I love to ski, I love the feeling of powder running over my skis, hitting my ski pants, and even occasionally smacking me in the face.

When I am going down the side of a mountain on a powder day, I am happy. Right?

Let Me Re-Introduce Myself

We recently had a new member or prospective new member luncheon. Each of the staff had a minute or two to introduce themselves and share what they did at the church. I thought I made a good pitch but our Pastor made an interesting observation about all our introductions.
