Scripture

We Are To Love God's Word. Do We Have To Like It?

A person who loves God’s word literally cannot function without it. But does that mean I have to like it?

Setting the Bar for Youth Ministry

As youth pastors, workers, and volunteers we must set the bar high. We can have fun, laugh and joke about life, run them until they are dead tired, and feed them until they explode, but are we filling them with God’s Word and setting a Christ-like example with everything we do and say?

Secure Salvation and Belief

I have two adult leaders in my youth ministry that have been madly going after our students making sure that our students are sure of their salvation. They have been at this for a couple years now, and I will refer to them as the "Salvation Confirmation Team."

Foundations of Truth

"As servants looking to equip the saints (aka our students) for the work of the ministry, connecting them to an understanding of God is paramount."

Encouraging Verses

The Lord will keep you from all harm, he will watch over your life. The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forever more.” Psalm 121:7, 8

Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you. I do not give it to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

Scriptures: Since I am in Christ, by the Grace of God

This list of scriptures came from a photocopy that’s probably been photocopied a hundred times. I’m not even sure where I first got it or who put it together!

Our identity in Christ is the foundation of so much in the Christian walk. I pray that these scriptures are helpful for you in your youth ministry, as you prepare youth group messages, and especially as you spend one-on-one time with students.
