When picking out Jelly Bellies or a religion some tend to lean toward their favorite flavors. When it comes to eternal life there is only one clear choice…faith in Jesus Christ alone. So what flavor are you peddling religion or a relationship?

Recently several students from the Lancaster, PA area got together to plan and organize a fundraising event. The spent weeks, days and hours gathering and sorting items for a yard sale.

It wasn’t to raise money for their youth group or any trip they are going on this summer.

No, as a matter fact not one penny they raised at this event that took place this past weekend will NOT be spent on them, their youth group or church.

I’m sure by the time you read this post you’ve already seen the video footage of the homeless man that helped a woman that was being mugged. He was stabbed and then left for dead on the sidewalk.

For an hour he laid there with no help.

Who's Your Hero?

Who’s your hero? –is the question I asked the teenagers this past weekend while speaking for Newburg Retreat. Several youth groups gather each year at the Doubling Gap Retreat Center for their annual spring retreat. I was excited to return for my second year as their speaker.

While everything from the games, Saturday night’s dinner, and skits were themed around Superheroes, the focus was on equipping the teens to discover their ultimate superhero, tapping into their superpowers, and then become a hero by telling others about THE Hero.
