Okay, so you thought you had a killer outfit when you tried it on in the dressing room. Then you got to school and had the most awkward day ever! Here's a test to make sure you can keep the 3 B's (boobs, butt, belly) in check BEFORE you fork over the cash. Just stand in front of the dressing room mirror, picture yourself at your locker, and try these three quick tests:
1) Top shelf - reach for something up high. Does your belly hang out?
2) Bottom shelf - squat down to get your gym shoes (or whatever else lands at the bottom of your pig sty locker). Now feel your back at the top of your pants. Have a sudden urge to grab a pipe wrench and do some plumbing?
3) Dropped my pencil - bend over at the waist to pick something up - are you giving a free show in the front or the back?
If you feel uncomfortable in any of these positions in the dressing room, pass on the outfit. You can be sure you'll be tugging at it all day in the real world. If you discover you have offending clothes already in your closet, don't panic, there are solutions. Stay tuned...
