The Biggest Shift: Social Media Infographic

Mashable pointed out this beautiful graphic. It details the reach of social media in our culture today.

Lots of interesting stats. This would be a great graphic to have on hand when talking with parents.

Just how many people use YouTube? How much content is posted to Facebook? Who uses Twitter?

I wonder how many of those

I wonder how many of those twitter users are teens. I still haven't met many teens who use it much. Texting and Facebook seem to meet whatever need Twitter might fill for them.

My totally unscientific guess

My totally unscientific guess would be that about 1:20 or 1:25 teens (18 and under)use Twitter, and even they probably don't use it all that regularly.
